Spic-n-span

After I blacked-out the chrome that I had mentioned before, I gave Mickey a bath. Funny thing is that right after I finished a storm blew in. Oh well he needed to be cleaned. I managed to get a few shots before it poured. Here they are:

If you look closer on a couple of the photos, you can notice the "ghost stripes" that I had made.

Yeah everything that I blacked-out was painted using a urethane spray can (called Wurth's; search this forum for it, I promise it will be there). The prep work was as follows: lightly sanded, cleaned with ammonia (windex), then 4 coats of black paint and 2 coats of clear coat enamel for protection.

To remove parts you should lift up the bonnet and look underneath you will notice little brackets (i guess you could call them that) that hold the headlight bezel (the trim). There is a slot in each holder and you should put a miniature flathead screwdriver in and push away to unlock each piece. Notice how each holder locks into place b/c I found out that it is easier to put them back on the trim first then just press the trim down back onto the spot on the bonnet where they go after you have painted them. Good luck.
